Promotion Reflects Expanded Role Within Organization
TUPELO, MS – Mississippi Methodist Senior Services (MSS), a premier provider of senior living and care across the state, has officially announced the promotion of Jennifer McClanahand to Vice President of Sales and Marketing. The announcement was made by Christie Vance, President and Chief Executive Officer of MSS.
McClanahand, who previously served as the Senior Director of Sales and Marketing, is being elevated to the executive leadership team in recognition of her strategic impact and expanded role within the organization. Since joining MSS, she has been instrumental in driving statewide occupancy growth, strengthening the organization’s brand presence, supporting individual communities, and building deep relationships with residents, families, and team members.
“Jennifer has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, strategic vision, and a deep commitment to the mission of MSS,” said Christie Vance, President and CEO. “This promotion reflects the executive-level leadership Jennifer is already providing throughout our organization. The creation of the Vice President role marks an intentional shift to elevate the organization’s sales, marketing, and occupancy development strategies. Rather than replacing her previous role, the title alignment honors the broader organizational influence McClanahand has already established.
Beyond her strategic and corporate capabilities, McClanahand is highly regarded within the MSS community for her hands-on, compassionate approach to senior care—which occasionally includes bringing unexpected joy to residents by bringing a baby goat along during community visits.

Outside of her professional accomplishments, McClanahand values time with her family. She and her husband, Chris McClanahand, enjoy life on their small farm alongside their son, Ryder, who will begin high school this fall. Their daughter, Lizzie, recently married Dawson, and the newlyweds now reside in St. Louis. In their spare time, Jennifer, Chris, and Ryder enjoy raising livestock and caring for horses, goats, chickens, sheep, and any other animals lucky enough to find a home there.
