Mississippi Methodist Senior Services Inc. (MMSS) has a number of ministries throughout the state that benefit Elders, whether they live on one of our campuses or not. Thanks to many generous donors, these ministries enable us to extend God’s love to Mississippi seniors.
Giving unrestricted funds to Methodist Senior Services or the MSS community of your choice allows us to use the funds to support our Elders in the areas of greatest need.
Give a gift to Mississippi Methodist Senior Services’ general fund for use in the area of greatest need for our communities to immediately impact the Elders who live in our communities. Undesignated funds may also be given to our 12 individual communities to address the campuses’ greatest needs. These funds fill in gaps and ensure our residents’ daily quality of life.
The Sunday Fund, benevolence fund was created to meet the financial burdens of Elders who live on one of our 12 campuses across Mississippi. The annual appeal begins on Mother’s Day and supports Elders living in our 12 communities who have outlived their financial resources through no fault of their own. 100% of the money donated to The Sunday Fund, is used to support Elders. Every year there is an increase in both the number and size of Sunday Fund requests. Your help is crucial to our ability to keep pace with the growing needs of those we serve.
Since 1992, Methodist Senior Services has grown an internal endowment as a way to generate interest income to provide security and quality of life for senior residents. In 2023, MSS added new endowment funds that will allow donors to give directly to help senior residents at their local senior communities across Mississippi.
At Methodist Senior Services, we’re always looking for ways to ensure the lives of our residents are as comfortable, enjoyable and enriching as possible. Through capital campaigns, we raise funds to make specific improvements to our communities. Capital projects are reviewed and approved by the MSS board of trustees.

NextAge Mississippi® is a “one-stop resource” serving seniors 62 and older to provide information, support, services, and relationships to older Mississippians at your home and their families as they grow and live into Elderhood—their next age. Through NextAge Mississippi®, MSS connects seniors and their families with the resources they need to support their lifestyle as they age. Services include transportation, housekeeping and handyman services. This new ministry is available in Lee County.
