Methodist Senior Services is a not-for-profit organization committed to serving older adults in the spirit of Christian love and to making Mississippi the best place in the country to grow old. We see each day as a new opportunity to serve older adults and provide the kind of care we would want for ourselves and our loved ones.
MSS was founded in 1962 as a charitable not-for-profit organization and ministry of the Mississippi Conference of the United Methodist Church. While we share a mutual ministry with Mississippi United Methodists, we welcome and serve Mississippi Elders of all religious backgrounds.
Our vision is to ensure that Mississippi Elders and our team members are safe, secure, supported and loved.
The Sunday Fund is the most critical part of the Methodist Senior Services Ministry. It is a benevolence fund designed to assist Elders living on MSS campuses. Elders of all denominations, who have outlived their financial resources through no fault of their own, are eligible to receive Sunday Fund assistance. We at Methodist Senior Services pledge to do everything possible to ensure that a resident is never asked to move from their MSS home.
We offer cottages, villas, apartments, garden homes, assisted living, memory support services, skilled nursing care, Bridge to Home Rehabilitation, Bridge to Better wellness programs and the first-ever Green House® Homes. In addition, outreach services include an in-house pharmacy (Senior Rx), on-site therapy (Bridge to Better), Meals on Wheels of Lee County and senior gatherings throughout the state of Mississippi.
