The staff hosted a Murder/Mystery Dinner for the elders of Wesley Manor Retirement Community. The production of “The Pink Lace Diamond” was performed by staff and community volunteers.
The “Prince Regency Hotel” dining room was the setting for this mystery. The play began with the maid, Rita Johnson running into the dining room screaming that she had found a dead man, Peter Gordon in her broom closet. As the evening progressed the cast acted out scenes in between meal courses. During one of these scenes the maid was drinking coffee and she starting coughing, fell onto the table and was pronounced dead! Instead of one murder there were two murders the elders had to solve. Each table was a team of detectives and they worked together to figure out who killed “Peter Gordon” and Rita Johnson. Clues were passed out to assist the teams in solving the crimes.
Two table teams of detectives solve the crime! A fun and exciting evening was enjoyed by the elders, staff and volunteers. The elders enjoyed the evening so much they have asked for the staff to do another Murder/Mystery production. Also, one of our “Neighborhoods” is planning on doing one!
